In a recent study conducted on generosity, it was discovered that those who were profiled as generous were found to have more oxytocin on their system. Oxytocin is a hormone that connects us to others. Connecting with others is a way of increasing our personal happiness. Generosity inspires gratitude. In another study, it was discovered that both are symbiotic and work in tandem that benefit both the giver and the receiver.  Small acts of generosity inspire goodwill and the desire to reciprocate with gratitude.
